2007 BCA “Achieving Coaching Excellence”


Applications will be available February 1, 2007 for the 2007 Women’s and Men’s ACE program. “Achieving Coaching Excellence” program is a collaboration between National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Committee on Women’s Athletics, Minority Opportunities and Interest Committee and the NCAA office of Diversity and Inclusion to further the mission and vision of advancement for minorities in women’s and men’s basketball.

 

2007 is the inaugural year for the ACE for Men’s Program; however the ACE for Women will be entering its fifth year. Aimed to further the mission and vision of advancement for minority men and women in athletics, the ACE Program is designed to assist an already talented group to become the next generation of collegiate head basketball coaches.

 

 The ACE program is an intense four (4) day workshop which will encompass a wealth of information pertaining to on-court and off court sessions for assistant coaches that are poised for advancing to the next level. This annual program will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana during the dates of June 3-6, 2007. ACE Applications will be accepted now through Friday, April 20, 2007.

HIRING REPORT CARDS
 

BCA will release two additional Hiring Report Cards in the fall of 2007.  This fall, in addition to releasing the BCA Hiring Report Card for NCAA Division IA-I-AA football, the BCA will introduce two more hiring report cards.  One for NCAA Division I women's basketball in addition to one for NCAA Division I athletic directors.
